Contact

Questions, bug reports and feature ideas for Tiamat, Quantum, Physarum, Pixator, Pixel Purr, Orcalot, NotBit and Music Cheat Sheet are welcome.

  • Email: george.ostrobrod@gmail.com. Please mention the app name, its version and your device or browser.
  • Discord: join the community for quick questions and to share what you make.
  • In the iOS apps: Options → Feedback sends an anonymous message straight to me. Include an email or Discord handle if you would like a reply.

I usually answer within two business days (Australian Eastern time).

Common questions

How do I export or share a simulation?

In Tiamat, Quantum and Physarum open the Field (or Environment) menu and choose Share. You can save a photo, a short GIF or a video, then send it anywhere from the share sheet.

Where are my saved fields, rules and colours?

They are stored on your device inside the app’s Documents folder and are visible in the Files app under On My iPhone (or iPad) → the app’s name. Deleting the app deletes them, so back them up with Files or iCloud Drive first.

Can I import patterns or rules from elsewhere?

Tiamat imports rulestrings (B/S, S/B and HROT notation) and RLE pattern files, and can copy your patterns back out as RLE. Quantum and Physarum load their own rule and colour files, which you can share between devices with the Files app.

Where do Orcalot and NotBit keep my work?

Both run in the browser (Orcalot also as a macOS app). Projects live in files you save and open yourself, so keep copies of anything important. Nothing is uploaded to a server.

Restoring purchases

Tiamat, Quantum, Physarum and Pixator are free and supported by optional tips. If a tip did not register, open the Options screen and use Restore purchases, or contact me with your App Store receipt. Pixel Purr uses in-game coins and optional rewarded ads instead; if a purchase or reward did not arrive, restart the app first and then get in touch.

The simulation is slow or the device gets warm

Large fields and high particle counts are demanding. Lower the population or field size in the New field dialog, pause the simulation when you are editing, and close other graphics-heavy apps.

Your data

The apps do not require an account. Tiamat, Quantum, Physarum and Pixator do not collect analytics. Pixel Purr shows optional rewarded ads, which are served by Google AdMob under its own privacy terms. Feedback you send from the apps is delivered anonymously to a private Discord channel and includes only the text you type and basic app and device information. Details are in the privacy policy.

Accessibility

The iOS apps support VoiceOver, Dynamic Type and Reduce Motion. If something is hard to use with assistive technology, in the apps or on this website, please tell me which screen and which control; those reports are prioritised.
